With Summer now in full swing there are many ways to enjoy our beautiful town. The fourth of July is always a terrific day. The fireworks at the harbor are well done and seen from many different locations. There are also fireworks shows in Goleta and parades in Santa Barbara and Solvang. Montecito also gets in the spirit with a parade in the upper village. If fireworks and parades aren't enough for you the symphony is a very popular thing to attend. One item that is particularly close to my heart since I've been on the board for many years is the Semana Nautica summer sports festival. It is kicking off the 7oth annual festival.
